HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Exhaust Manifolds - Page 2 Empty Stock Iron Manifolds for the LS3 conversion

I have a pr. of 2011 Camaro manifolds, pass. side bolted on and only minor mods to it and it looks like it will work. I wont know for sure until back from the bender on that. I cant get the car to the bender because I dont have 87 & up lower a arms to install on it yet. (This car started out as a 924S) I dont want to put them back on it just to move it to muffler shop.
Anyone selling 87 up 944 A arms. If I cant make the stock manifolds work, I'd rather change the steering colum than run headers on this car.

Any updates on this? Ide like to use a set of gen 5 camaro manifolds myself, and just cut the flanges off and run some tubing to clear the steering shaft.

I don't expect to do much to my LS1 except LS3 (or similar) heads and cam so I don't think the HP gains to be made by going LTH would be worth the considerable expense.

The first set won't work because the passenger side manifold exits too far back, they are similar to early F Body pressed steel manifolds and will exit right into the firewall.

The second set may work but will require tight turns on the collector pipes, the drivers side will also have to clear the steering shaft.

For reference, 2002 Camaro Cast manifolds work but the drivers side needs to be milled at 10 degrees or so to clear steering joint.
