yes. Great guy. I've picked his brain many times about racing lines at MSR Cresson and about suspension tuning for 911's.

FWIW, I have been tracking my car since 2007 without any brake boosting. My recent GT3 front brake upgrade has given me the ability to out brake just about any thing on the track, including GT3s (my car is lighter).

I would try doing the installation without any boosting at all. If you decide that your right (or left) foot can't handle the pressure Very Happy then look into the boost options that have been discussed on this forum.

As far as the tranny goes, they can take up to the 500hp range as long as they are cooled. Your box should have the factory cooler hoops on the side which should be enough for street use. I installed a diff cooler in '08 after cooking my '86 box and everything has been happy. Pics of cooler set-up are here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I also installed the taller 5th gear, and now wish that I hadn't. For the track the regular 5th would be better, even on tracks like VIR and The Glen I would not have hit the limiter and would have got to the top speeds on the long straights quicker. YMMV.
