HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I've gotten so many different opinions on this setup I don't know what to believe. Unfortunately myself and my car are separated by 1500 miles so I can't go out a measure myself right now either.

Front:
255/40R17 Kumho Exsta XS
ZR1 17”x9.5”, 56mm offset, 5x120.65 bolt pattern
Final Offset to be: 35mm
.827”, 21mm spacers needed with a 5x130mm to 5x120.65mm bolt pattern conversion

Rear:
295/35R17 Kumho Exsta XS
ZR1 17”x11”, 50mm offset, 5x120.65 bolt pattern
Final Offset to be: 25mm
.985”, 25mm spacers needed with a 5x130mm to 5x120.65mm bolt pattern conversion

Being an 86 I have early offset, right?
I've got Ground Control Coilover conversions on front 440#, 180# rear. Lowered some, I'm taking it in for an alignment after I put new wheels/tires on so it could change if needed.

I can't tell you for sure if they will fit, but can give you my specs and you can go from there. My car is a 944S but I am running early offset in the front.

Front
17x9 cupII wheels (55 offset) with 32mm spacers. Tires are 275/40-17. Lowered and -3.25o camber. I cannot really go much wider than that setup on the front, maybe 5-7 mm.

Rear

Same wheels and tires as front but running 15mm spacers. -2.5o camber. This is a very tight fit and in fact I rolled the fenders ever so slightly to make it work.

Here's a page concerning offsets [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
