For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Which is the inlet and which is the outlet? A or B? I was also going to put the filter before the cooler, is this right?

Filter before cooler, correct, so the viscosity is low when it goes through the filter.
Also, I put the oil pressure sender on the oil filter Effluent side of the relocation adapter (If filter gets clogged suddenly, the pressure will spike)
And another problem is the red anodized screw fittings on those -10an lines are not trustworthy if you spin them down on stainless braid as they do not screw tight against the braided strands....I re-used stainless clamps.

B is the inlet to the engine and A is outlet to the filter.

Do you have a oil cooler thermostat? Running all the oil through a filter and then cooler can result in extremly high oil pressure when cold; which could possibly result in extensive strain/broken oil pump drives or blown oil filter canisters. A thermostat controlled 3-way valve between the filter and the cooler that diverts oil past the cooler is a good idea.

These are available as oil cooler bypass thermostats which can be temperature or pressure activated (theres a direct relationship between temp and pressure). You should want to have 100% of the oil flow go through the filter first, but after that, only a thermostatically controlled amount go through the cooler.

Thanks for the info, I don't have a thermostat yet. It's pretty hot right now. I won't run it when it starts getting cool, and I plan on adding a thermostat soon. Sorry I've been so absent from the forum I'm trying to get the car done for this weekend. We'll see.........

I just mounted my oil filter/adapter on it's side right behind the NA foglight (fogs removed). I have an oil filter cooling fin/radiator that just clamps on the filter. Kept it simple and getting ready to remove it, because it's cooling down here now.

haha, that's where mine is going. That's a cool idea for an oil cooler. I'll either get a thermostat or remove the cooler before it gets chilly. I hope to make a half a dozen autocrosses this fall though, so I'll need it. Do you have any ideas for my MAF question in the other thread?

Mine is plain alloy from a Honda Goldwing I had laying around, but is just like these....
