For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Under its own power after 2 years!!
My car blew the clutch about two years ago; when the old clutch went I decided to do the swap. The following summer I got all the parts together and started reading up on the swap. I was only able to work on the car on nice days, since all the work was done in the driveway without a garage. Two years later I took the car down the street for a short run! It felt good driving it after it had been sitting so long. The clutch feels good and the brakes will take a little getting used to. The manual steering is definitely a work out!
I've got an exhaust shop that's down the street from me that's doing the exhaust. I'm going to use my old 3" S.STL exhaust from my Mitsubishi eclipse. Believe it or not, it's actually a pretty close match. The bends are all pretty much the same and should be easy to modify. The shop said it would be about 450-500$ to make the Y pipe and modify the exhaust. This exhaust will have a cat, resonator and the muffler is going to be a magnaflow with a 4" tip. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like when its done; I'm going to take it there next week.
Here's a short video. The hood is propped up because I had to steal the battery from my other car and its sits high and hits the top of the hood; so I just put a piece of plywood between the hood and the battery so it didnt short out. I only got it up to second gear, this was the first time I had it out of the driveway in two years!!
