Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

I'm looking at bellhousing patterns and it looks like the I6 from a 2006 Chevy TB has the same pattern as the Chevy V8 platform. Using the Quicktime RM-6033 this might be an easy swap, and be a mild in-between for the 4 cyl and the V8s instead of the 3800 series V6s. The major point of problems with engine swaps looks to be steering shaft clearance, this engine configuration may eliminate that. I have seen where people have fit the VW VR6 engines in the bay and had minimal issue with the steering shafts and exhaust manifolds/headers.

My main worry is that the I6 will be too long for our engine bay, and the intake from the trailblazer will for sure be too tall. Has anyone else seen a swap like this or even looked into it. Just wondering what other peoples thoughts are.
