need comformation on TT position

Post  cfgioja on Fri Apr 22, 2011 11:06 am

I wanted to double check this number before I move back on the project.

Looking at sloan's manual it says the tip of the TT shaft needs to be 49mm away from the front edge of the bellhousing. Is this correct still?

49mm is correct. Reference 944 Official Factory Service manual:

best way to judge everything is a test fitment though. I managed to get the tt shaft into the pilot bearing over half of the first 15mm step tip. Everything is good to go back together. Finally. I am keeping fingers crossed this time.
