For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Throttle cable travel
I installed my Lokar throttle cable but can't get the butterfly to open all the way. I took the rubber stop off of the pedal arm mount. If I adjust the cable to fully open the throttle body butterfly, then it doesn't close all the way. What am I missing?

Re: Throttle cable travel
have you played with the plastic bolt under the throttle pedal? Or is that what you've been using to adjust?

Not sure what the plastic bolt is but I did remove the plastic/rubber bump stop at the pedal. I have been using the adjustment nuts at the throttle body mount. What we need is an elliptical pulley. Before I screw up bending the pedal arm, can you give some description on how much to bend it?

Re: Throttle cable travel
Just bend the top of the arm back about 1/2", if you bend it to much, just bend it back! You can't really screw up. The peddle itself will be just a little higher, you'll never notice when your foot is on the floor!

Thanks. I will be so glad when I am through standing on my head working on the pedals.

I know it was too many yoga moves for me. I'm almost 6' 5" too, so it was particularly interesting threading myself down there. I'd keep the plastic bolt so that you don't over stress the throttle cable by relying on it to stop your foot.

Re: Throttle cable travel
Whatever it was I took off was just a bump stop to quiet down when the pedal arm hits the metal frame that mounts it. Now I can hear when I release the pedal the metal arm hitting the metal frame, no big deal just a metalic tap. I may put it back in, if I can find it.

Glad you were able to figure out the issue, if anyone has an extra plastic bottom stop I need one... Mine ran away...
