Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

Sounds good. I'm not quite as happy with mine.DVC wrote:acorad wrote:

Surprisingly I've lost no driveablity with the Spec Stage 2 and aluminum PP and aluminum FW. It's noticeably more free reving and accelerates like a complete animal. Pedal effort is higher than stock. Overall, a very nice upgrade.
I have a lightweight McLeod FW and a Kevlar heavy-duty clutch. In around town driving I find myself really having to concentrate in order to shift smoothly as the revs drop so quickly when I push the clutch in. And the Kevlar chatters at low revs when starting from a stop or any kind of low-rev shifting, I have to rev higher and slip the clutch more in order to start smoothly. And the clutch pedal effort is usually manageable, but if I'm in an area with lots of stoplights, stop and go traffic, etc., it gets old really quickly. I imagine the setup would be brilliant on the track though.

Re: Wore out my drive shaft
My disc is Kevlar too. I get chatter when the disc is cold. Once it's warmed up it smoothes right out. I do notice with my setup that it too drops rev's rather quickly. I guess that's the price we pay for lightened flywheels.
