For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.

Oil thermostat and check valve
Hello guys,
Since it's a bit chilly in Maine I figured I needed an oil thermostat to go with my oil cooler. When would I also need a check valve in the line coming back from the cooler?
It's been awhile since I've poked my head around here, I've had my car under wraps for the winter. Looks like a lot of the same people are still here! Hope there aren't any big developments I missed. I'm taking the car out of the shed for the first time this year to get it finished up. Everything runs fine, except the eventual overheating problem which I hope to fix. I'll be putting in a wideband O2 sensor and gauge to monitor the AFR as well.
cheers,
Luke

oh, btw if I'm using the Moroso 969-1028 oil filter housing is the filter pn PH8A what most of you are using? That's the number I found in this forum by searching.
