For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Re: C5 Corvette wheels on a 944
Anybody have a set of vette wheels (like above pic) to measure backspacing?

Re: C5 Corvette wheels on a 944
I looked into this quite a bit a few months ago. Given that the C5 has a similar offset to the late Porsche (50's) on a 9x17 wheel, it is not feasible without a body kit. The source that I spoke with suggested that the adapter (hubcentric) needed to be at least 1", 1.25" would be better. Currently I have 14mm spacers on the rear of my car (with 9x17 cup II's) and I had to roll the fenders to keep if from rubbing.

Hey Tim, the rear pre-87 has a shorter track/offset so the rear Vette wheels should fit with an adapter correct?....what thickness who knows.
The front early offset should be the same...No?

Yes, you can make this work on early offset.

I'm privy to the 01 Z06 wheels (10 spoke) but the 5 spokes keep popping up on CL....and Sloan's dims are iffy on his drawings.

Re: C5 Corvette wheels on a 944
I churned out those a few months ago and made them with -10mm less offset than the factory hubs and can still remove 5mm from the wheel faces. There are alot of nice 114.3 PCD wheels out there, just not the widths that the Z06's offer.
