HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

which headers
Whats my best bet on headers. I was going to get the patriot headers from jegs, but how do the sanderson headers work. Do i need to buy 2 sets of headers. I just want a good quality bolt on header for my setup. Is there an aftermarket motor mounts for the lt1 swap. I wasnt sure if you guys had a aftermarket motor mount that go with the uprights. I will be ordering some parts really soon when i get my tax return.

Re: which headers
The best performance wise would be a custom made mid length header set. If your power goals are low then the Sanderson CC90 and CC2 will work just fine (Sanderson will sell just 1 header if need be.)
Perhaps Eric at Texas Performance Concepts will be making some LT headers soon......

Re: which headers
In due time. I have a set of coated Sandersons that I might be persuaded to sell, They have never been run. Just installed. They are on my personal car and I'm going to make some long tube headers for my car! I am just so busy right now that I cna't get other peoples things done fast enough.
Re: which headers
Its a stock motor. The only performance is intake and exhaust. In the near future maybe i will build a high hp N/A Lt1, but for now i just want to get this one running. 300hp is good enough for me in a 944.

Re: which headers
Just a warning/heads-up... A few people including myself have had issues with Sanderson Headers cracking where the primaries are welded and join to the collector...

Re: which headers
You know... We have all probably been looking at this the wrong way. I know a lot of guys had to do a custom driver header to clear the steering shaft.
Why don't we just redesign the steering shaft geometry and redirect it a different path? Anyone look into this option? I'll be restoring my 944 in the near future and was about to buy some PVC tubes to mock up my own custom exhaust. Then I thought, well shoot, if I just moved the steering shaft over some with some universal joints, I'd be golden...

Re: which headers
I think a couple people have done it before to use stock headers for emissions
I think they used Borgeson joints ----> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
