HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.

For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.

When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).

After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Hi, the original brakebooster is way to big. How do you guys solve this problem? Without a brakebooster is not an option i guess

Most people use manual brakes or install a Hydroboost set-up. Search around the site (under the "brakes" section) and you'll find all you need to know.

From what I have read most with manual brakes are using larger caliper/rotors or the turbo brakes. It doesn't work as well with the NA brakes. You can use either the tandem master or a dual master setup with a balance bar. Xschop is working on a remote vacuum setup using a C5 Corvette vacuum booster.

Yes it really works, and no it doesn't work amazingly well (though i guess that's depending on your setup).

what about the brakebooster Empty brakes.

Hello, from what i have read the 993tt brake set up is the way to go. You need the S2 baby brembos for the rear, and a new porportioning valve. This is the set up i have for my car. The hydroboost system will take care of the power option. There are many very nice brake kits out there. I wanted to stay porsche. You need to buy adapters for the calipers, and you have a choice of rotors.Good luck, just remember you can make it go fast,BUT you must be able to stop.

My conversion has the RH MC mount, stock MC and stock calipers. Brake pedal pivot point was redrilled for more leverage and reinforced. The brakes were a little off-putting at first, but after a week or so I don't even notice it at all. It takes more foot pressure, that's all. That said, it's all personal preference, and my preference would probably be power boosted brakes. Although PB brakes is really far down my list of things to do now.

Is the MC for the 951 the same size as the one for the 944?

Probably. The proportioning valves are different though.

Yes,
The non-ABS 944 has a front bore of 23.81mm and a rear bore of 19.05 mm; the ABS version is 20.64mm in the rear.
