For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

E-Brake Cables
Does anyone know if the late (85.5 and up) e-brake cables can be used on the early cars? They look the sane in pictures but I haven't been able to compare the two side by side.

Re: E-Brake Cables
The PET shows 477.609.719.C & 477.609.720.C for the early and 951.424.071.02 & 951.424.072.02 for the late. Also when you look them up online to purchase it shows early and late.
I don't see what could be so different between them. The late ones are less expensive so since i need to buy these I would like to buy the less expensive ones if I can.

Re: E-Brake Cables
From PET all the guide tubes and other parts are the same between the two. The big difference I can see is the e-brake handle. The threaded end of the cable is the same thread for both, unless the caliper end is different, I'd say it would work.

i looked in my porsche parts look up and the only thing it gives is the parts numbers that you have with only a drawing to show what the part looks like . i have the cables out of my 84 944 spec race car but we got 30 inches of snow so i can't see what they look like to my 88 944 because that car is out side .
