HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

948 badge Poll....what kind of badge would you buy?
948 badges
I am making enquiries about 948 Badges for the rear of our cars. They would be the same size as the factory badge, black and one piece, instead of 944 they would say 948. They would also be in the same Porsche font.
One source has quoted $22 each for quantity 25 in Black Anodized Alloy
same source says Black Acrilic with polished face and dull edges would be about half that price
These badges will be made on a water jet.
I need to know how much interest there is out there for such a badge. Cost will be adjusted for shipping. I do not intend to make a profit on these. PM me with you thoughts and wether you are interested.
Thanks

You do also know that 948 is a 317-gonal number?....
If it will be one piece, how will it be connected?

What is a 317-gonal number?
Connected like the factory badge with little bridge stems.

...and I only paid a dollah fifty in late chahges at the public library. (in my worst Boston accent)
I would be in for one pending review of the digital version and details of how these will be annodized.
FYI, If the vendor is going dye and seal the badges black, which most colored annodized parts are, they will quickly fade in sunlight and won't be black for very long.
If the parts are going to be electrolytically colored black, then you won't see any fading due to sunlight alone. I guess what I am saying is have them colored electrolytically.....

Re: 948 badges POLL
I am partial to the 928 type font. Regardless the font, hard to go wrong with black ano.
948 Badges
Based on the results of the Poll I have requested a final quotation for Qty 10 Black Anodized and Qty 5 Plain Alloy versions.
Will advise as soon as I have the prices.
