For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Rear Hatch Glass Re-Glue??
Well, continueing from my earlier post "Leaking Lights", I replaced the seals around the tail lights and water tested with sucess. However, what I found is that the rear hatch is leaking at the seam around the glass on both sides right about where the glass makes the bend to follow the body contour. I was wondering if re-glueing the frame to the glass is a do-it-yourself project or if I should find a shop to do this for me. I dont know if this is a job for one of those "fix your widow from a van" guys.

Re: Rear Hatch Glass Re-Glue??
If you have a local auto glass shop, just stop in and speak to one of their field techs, They will give you the best answer. You might be able to just by some "Professional Grade" black poly urethane and reseal it yourself. That's what I would do, but you know me..............

If you decide to do it yourself here is a good write up.

I did something similar to mine where the top edge had came unstuck but instead of pulling the whole metal strip off I managed to squeeze some Black window sealer in it and got it pressed back together pretty good. So far it hasn't come back off. Its been about 7 months now.

Just use 3M window weld urethane adhesive. You can buy it at Auto Zone or Advance Auto.
