HOW TO DO AN ADVANCED SEARCH.
Mon Jul 08, 2013 3:56 pm by Admin
For the benefit of 944Hybrids users there are two search functions available for you to use.
The purpose of this sticky is to explain the "Advanced Search" function because it is much more powerful and is the best choice when researching information.
When you log on to the site a list of options is shown in a line at the top of the page. One option is labelled "Search", use this option (NOT the search box lower down on the right).
After you click on the upper search option, a drop down box appears. At the bottom of this box is a radio button marked "Advanced …

Public Announcement
I hear by notify everyone that reads this that I nor my company is involved or connected in any way with Mr. Greg Slone.
I have had many calls and emails to count about him and his website and I have to let everyone know that I am not involved with him or his website.
The is to be my legal notice to everyone that may question our connections.
He and I were only friends over the internet and phone. As far a business goes we were never working with one another. Only this forum that he and I started, is the only connection between us. He did set up my original website ( 944hybrids.com ) as a favor to me.
I was contacted today by a Legal consul and asked to help gather information, so if you have sent him (Greg ) money please post what you ordered, what you paid and what you received from him.
This not going to be a Bitch topic, I will edit anything one those lines out! I need real information only.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Re: Public Announcement
Greg owes me a set of Street & Performance 944 LS1 headers. This was a verbal agreement between he and I based on the work I did to design and fabricate the original set, which were used by S&P to make jigs for the production version.

Re: Public Announcement
A summary:
My order was placed with 944V8s.com and paid in full, March 2010. LS1 kit + headers and a few misc items. At the time I placed my order, the expectation was a 4 to 6 week delivery time-frame, with perhaps a bit more time allowance for the headers due to fabrication & setup.
I received several shipments of items starting in April with the last shipment in July.
Approx $750 of items from my order were never shipped. I have since sold off some other 911 and 944 take off parts to afford re-purchasing most everything that 944V8s.com was unable or unwilling to fulfill. I have requested a refund for the value of items not shipped.
Note: I've had a very positive experience dealing with other 944 conversion experts & vendors. Namely Eric(944Hybrids) , Rob and SSP.
Hopefully the next person down the line doesn't have to go through this experience, and hopefully nobody else is out this much money. Lastly - once finished this car had better be a freakin rocket ship at the track.

Thanks for your post, which I have edited, Please do not confuse the two. 944Hybrids is my company that has fulfilled every order that it has taken.
944V8.com is where you ordered from. That is Greg's website and business.

Re: Public Announcement
I have sent out every part that was paid for and never had a problem getting paid by anyone here EXCEPT Greg Sloan of Belton SC. He owes me $615 for parts delivered and a 5.3l (LM7) wiring harness and an 85.5 944 harness. I also have no business or legal affiliation with 944V8s.com or Greg Sloan.....

Re: Public Announcement
It's one year since I sent him payment for the amount of 1950dollars for the whole conversion kit. I knew about a litle delay because he was designing new engine mounts ( i think). The payment was sent about 10.december '09. I receive my package in the beginning of june. He told me he had to send the oil pan seperatly. I waited for whole month to get my oil pan. I still don't have it and he does not answer any mails or posts. My whole project is stop because of this. I have the engine out of my car and ls1 with no oil pan sitting in my garage...! I really ,really need my oil pan!
And to make thing worse... I had only one receite for all parts so I was charged from the custom service here for the oil pan that I never got! And the taxes here in Iceland are insanely high ... of carparts almost as high as the cost of parts+shipping cost.
He answered one mail tough... Because I said I knew what had happened to his company I told him I could pay the shipping cost (wich was included in the payment I send him for these parts). He aswered how much I should send him much... but hasn't answered anything since.
It's kind a hard to trust him . Probably he will keep my money and also keep my oil pan...
Damn I am pissed of now!

I forgot I also need this manual that was supposed to come with the kit. I only have about 10 or 12 pages about the conversion..

conversion manual
For those who ordered the manual recently:
1. How long was it from the time you paid to the time of receipt?
2. Was there any communication?
Just curious since I paid about 10 days ago and tried two polite email requests on the ETA of the manual and not received a response. I only received email confirmation of the paypal payment from paypal, not the website.
Thanks

944v8s website is gone
Doesn't look good for me getting my manual anytime soon. But the manual website is still up. Credit card bill has come, 3 weeks have past, no response to 3 emails over the 3 past weeks.
Oh well. I've since learned most of what I need to know from this website and will continue to be part of this great resource.

Re: Public Announcement
I really should have bought my kit from Eric ! But Sloan was the first option I saw to bouy the kit from...
Greg started to respond my mails again in the beginning of desember and I told him I knew about the situation of his company. So I told him I would pay the shipping cost of my oil pan, that I bought with the whole kit and paid shipping cost then. He told me I would sent it to me and I sent him payment with paypal.
It was the time paypal wanted everybody to update there security informations and my account went to "limited activity" and took all payments back. I then received email from Greg where he told me about this. I fixed the problem and sent him money for shipping my oil pan, it was $152dollars. ( I live in Iceland... expensive shipping) Payment was done 28. december. Since then I've heard nothing...
Damn I'm pissed of
I don't know how many emails I've sent, I also have a phone number and I call maybe 3-4 times a week. Never answer...

Re: Public Announcement
Sorry to hear you also got Sloaned. Get a Moroso 20140 and mod it like the one in my gallery. You only need to do the driver's side of the pan and grind down the passenger side X-member steering rack boss.

Sorry to hear as well. I'm surprised that people still send him money after numerous posts of Gregg screwing people. I hope you get your parts and I hope Gregg gets whats coming to him. He is a thief in my book-
