This is the proper way to convert an Early strut to accept Late spindles and retain correct geometry....

I've seen some sh*tty attempts at this conversion with scary tactics...So I devised my own method...

First disassemble the Early strut and set the end up on a mill and cut the edge perpendicular to the strut housing right at the lower stationary bolt hole edge...I measured 3 different ones at 1.81"

Mill out some adapters with that 1.81" Dimension and that convert from ...

This kit allows you to drop the 944 X-member for engine to hood clearance and correct the steering geometry without having to install custom ball joints or bother with the tie rods. You are effectively raising the car by the same amount you drop the X-member....CNC machined billet steel and aluminum. You will need to purchase the Xmember and rear control arm longer bolts ($12-15) at a local hardware.

I remember a while ago , someone on one of these sites developed a tranny brace that helped stop the dr. side cv joint breakage. Has anyone heard anything as to its long term success? I think the guy drag raced it. Seems these axles don't stand up to much abuse.

Noob question no doubt. Is this a manual or PS rack? I can't seem to find any pressure lines that go to a pump. Looks like the pressure lines go to the steering wheel knuckle, then right to the rack. I don't see where power would come from aside from turning the wheel.
I know the steering rod would need to be lengthened. Already done that once!

There are several versions of the rear coilover mounts, and 3 versions are shown below. Also, I am posting known info on the coilovers themselves, found "elsewhere" on the www...

These could be fabbed from hardened steel [i.e SHOULD be, due to shear strength requirements].

So I have the whole geometry thing sorted, but now in the interest of space, and simply just getting the car set up asap I am toying with the idea of converting to a manual rack.
The thing is I have 18s, I haven't been able to figure out if ill need big beefy arms to parallel park. What do you guys think?

This guy on pelican is selling these rims. I've asked numerous times for an asking price, and he just says "make an offer". I have NO freaking clue as to what they are worth.

4 rims, 17x10 and 17x8, late offset. They will come freshly polished and powdercoated.

What are they worth? Are they a decent rim for the car? I have no idea.
