Does anyone have pictures of their battery mounted in the rear of their car? Will it fit completely down in the well area?

Battery / ECU location

I need some opinions here. I'm trying to decide where to mount my ecu and this idea keeps popping back up. I want to get a dry cell battery see the link (http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc680series.htm) and mount this battery in the factory battery box with the ecu on top, or have the ecu in the battery box and put this battery in the front fender.

Wiring, hooking up the switched ignition power wire

AS posted in the how-to by Lew-

Almost ready to fire this up for the first time. I put a 95 LT1 from a wrecked Z28 into my 1984 944. I bought the Renegade wiring harness, but I'm not sure what to do with the wire labeled "12 volt switched ignition power." I've already got the large red/black wire from the old harness hooked up to the starter solenoid. I thought this was the switched ignition power, and that's what my wiring diagram seems to show. Any help here? I searched the forums ...

Dual headlight motor conversion

As "borrowed" from the how-to. Written and performed by 948, although the pics seem to be disabled-

Here is a quick run down of how I performed a dual headlight motor conversion. You will need some basic hand and power tools. I picked up a driver side head light motor for a 1976 914.

Headlight motor and bar modifications.

1. Remove the headlight bar and cut off the rotating arms from each side of the bar. See the pic.

tach wire hookup options

q. What wire, on the back of the tachometer, should the tach output run to?

A. 85.5 and later is the green wire with thin black stripe.

Also-

The tach wire is the Red/Blue wire on pin 2 of the T1 connector (in pasenger footwell). Do not confuse this with the Red/Blue wire on the t21 connector (it is for fuel injectors).

I connected the Red/Blue wire to C105-G from my LS1 and the tach works perfect.
