Has anyone had any trouble fitting the larger 90mm or 92mm throttle body on an LS engine under the stock hood without modifying anything (Engine mounts, cross member)? The cable driven TB looks quite a bit smaller than the electronic one in the GTOs, but does it matter which setup we use?

My problem is simple. I'm 6'2". If you don't know what that means in a 944, you don't have one yet. I need to lower the drivers seat to the floor or close to, ideally retaining front/back adjustability.

Is this a solved problem, or will I be posting a how-to on this in the coming months?

My preferred solution is a replacement/modified seat slider for the stock seat. I don't want ricer-looking seat(s) if I can help it.

Power Buldge or Cowl Hood

Take a look at Porsche's latest offering. The photo on the cover of the latest Panorama makes the hood look like a Corvette or maybe a Camaro cowl hood. Anyway, if you increase your hood to LSx clearance with a hood shaped like this, you might still look like "one of the family".

I know there are a couple vinal guys on forum so here is a question:

I want to do some decals that i can bury under some base / clear so that it will look like the metal is embossed out. Sort of like the later Impala SS. Is there a good brand or type of film that stand up to modern base clears? Would like to put a sealer over it too. Going for a real subtle look.

Thoughts?
